Corrections Policy
We want every fact on this site to be right. When we get one wrong, we fix it and we say so.

How to report an error
Our pages have a “Spot an error? Report it” link at the bottom. The link opens an email to cassiancreed@cassiancreed.com with the page name filled in. You can also write to that address yourself.
Tell us what is wrong and what is right. A link to a court record or other source helps most. You do not need one to write. Anyone can report an error: readers, families, lawyers, or the people we write about.
What we do
- We check the court record first. Court papers and official sources come before news reports.
- We fix it fast. If we got it wrong, we change the page.
- We add a dated note. The note says what we changed and when.
- We never change a legal status quietly. Words like “charged,” “convicted” and “acquitted” change only when the court record changes, and the page notes the change.
When a case changes
Court cases move. When a case on our Court Calendar changes, we update the calendar. The calendar’s “Updated” date shows its latest change.
To learn how the calendar works, read the Court Calendar and Case-Tracking Policy.
Books and guides
Our books and guides are files. Each one reflects the facts on the date it was made. We do not promise to send a new file when a case changes. For the latest status, check the live Court Calendar and its “Updated” date.
