Why this page exists
An entry leaves the live calendar when there is nothing left for a court to do and enough time has passed that it is no longer news. That is a housekeeping decision, not a retraction. Nothing here has been withdrawn, corrected away, or found to be wrong.
Reader demand plays no part in what gets archived and what stays. If a matter is still open, still awaiting a ruling, or still inside its appeal window, it belongs on the live calendar and it stays there, however quiet it has become.

Talvis Keller

Keller pleaded guilty to manslaughter in the shooting death of Taj Laurent Sr., 51, and was sentenced to 35 years on August 17, 2026.
The Jefferson Parish District Attorney’s office says Keller admitted shooting his girlfriend’s father during a Christmas-night argument, and that the plea was entered as jury selection was beginning. The case is resolved and no further court date is expected.

Asia Lozano Morton — Mark Calcagni case

Morton was charged as an accessory after the fact in the Mark Calcagni case, not with the killing. She entered a no-contest plea in December 2025 and was sentenced on August 14, 2026 to a two-year split term: one year in Sonoma County jail followed by one year of supervision.
Judge Lynnette Brown imposed the sentence. The separate murder prosecution of Richard Lund is calendared for trial on August 28, 2026 and is listed above.
